That's right, today little John finally broke the 4lb threshold and knows weighs in at a whopping 4lbs and 0.2 ounces! Wooooooop! He is taking some decent-sized feedings now so we should hopefully see the little fella pork up over the next few weeks! All other vitals are looking great, so we just need him to keep on eating and we'll be good to go!

Nick has just sent me a link to your blog - I had no idea what you have all been going through. Congratulations on the arrival of little john (you seriously need to invest in some Robin Hood-esque outfit) and I'm pleased he's getting bigger and stronger! I hope he'll be home with you as soon as possible!

John is looking great!! He's just so precious and perfect, and I do see you, Vicky, in his face! You probably would not choose to spend Christmas in a hospital, but these days will be treasured memories in the years to come. No matter what, a new baby throws your entire life into "upheaval". You are fortunate that you can both be there with him and that you have family nearby. When my Joshy was in intensive care there was another little baby who's parents only came once a day, in the evening, for about an hour. I'm not sure why other than that they might have been impoverished. But you two, whether in the hospital or at home, are standing by your little man and lavishing on his needs and it's a beautiful thing! Enjoy this time!
