Bringing Flexy Back

Flexford had a nice little holiday at Nan West's house for three weeks while we were on our trip to England.
We went down to GA last weekend to visit and pick him up and bring him back to Asheville.
I think he has mixed feeling about leaving Mom's Melody Ranch.

We also had some fun pool time and despite some somewhat chilly waters, John was loving it!

John was having a blast although he seems to be asking Uncle Pete "Where's mine, Dude?"

Then John had to take a very important call...

Now that we're all back home, I think John is a little suspicious of the return of the furry beast.
Mom's just glad her crumb collector is back in action now that John is on finger foods!

And Now for Something Completely Inappropriate...

Brought to you by Uncle Pete, aka, the Godfather.

Some more English fun in photos

Here are some more images from our recent trip to the UK.....

John riding forward like a BIG BOY!!! or should I say dude.

Partridges on a Beach.

Uncle Aaron and quiet time with Daddy.

Oh yes, John says Da-Da now!

Hmmmm.....
Did Mommy forget someone's sunglasses?

Our little frequent flyer is ready for Pilot School.

And some high speed kisses from Mommy.

A Gold Star Day

We spent our first weekend in England up in The North, also known as the Midlands, also known as The Black Country (beacuse of coal mining) in the town of Adam's family roots, Stourbridge.
We visited with Adam's Nan Partridge and Uncle Tony on Saturday and on Sunday we took in some of the sights and PIES! of the area.
Our first stop was at the Batch Locks where we saw some original working locks for raising and lowering canal boats in areas of significant elevation change.

First the boats cue up...

Then they close the lock to fill the compartment with water...

Then you bring your boat in and close the gate behind you...

Then you release the water allowing your boat to lower to the level of the next lock...

Then you are on your way!

We were then on our way to Mad O'Roarke's Pie Factory where Mommy and Daddy had some
yummy Steak and Ale pies and John went crazy with some sweet potatoes - oh yes, and a napkin hat.
Indeed, a gold star day all around.

Across the Pond

We have just returned from our trip to England to visit our UK family, so I have a couple of posts from our time there over the next few days...

John had a tummy bug right before we left for our trip, so the flight was one of red eyes and red bottoms.

He was a good little flyer, though and was sure to greet everyone on board with a drooly grin.

We had some great time with Grandma Partridge............

Uncle Dan and Aunt Sarah.....

Grandad Partridge.................

And Great Nanny Bate and Great Grandad Bate.

We hope you are feeling much better soon Grandad!!!
