A new Partridge coming to Peartree Manor!

As the realization that we really will be having a baby sometime soon starts to set in, I thought I'd make myself useful and start a blog so that we can share the exciting, and even the downright uninteresting, developments with all of our friends and family here, and on the other side of the pond. Like all good ideas that I have, this was completely stolen from some good friends of ours. Matt and Jill have recently become parents themselves (and I sincerely hope our child turns out to be half as adorable as theirs!) and they found that this was a good way to keep all the future grandma's, grandpa's, uncles, aunts etc in the loop.

I will likely be writing most of these posts as Vicki is terribly busy concentrating on the whole gestation thing, but I'm sure she'll be adding her two cents here and there. Anyway, we'll do our best to keep this ticking over as much as possible, and please feel free to add comments whenever you see fit. Aaron - please remember that my family will be reading this. Anyway, that's enough of my babbling, let's get on with the whole "baby" thing!

Vicki is now 13 weeks pregnant. We've had 2 ultrasounds, 3 doctor visits, and so far everything seems to be going very well. Vicki is an absolute trooper, and I'm not just writing that because she's sat next to me and there are sharp things in the kitchen, I genuinely mean it. The first couple of months literally sapped the energy out of her, but she still managed to plough through her 9 to 5 and then deal with me at the end of it. With that being said, other than the fatigue she hasn't really had many ailments (touch wood) and so far little Wolfgang Amadeus Partridge (that's the fetal name that we're working with) has been pretty good to her, compared to some of the other horror stories we've heard!

As you can see from her picture, she isn't showing any physical signs of pregnancy, other than that the glint in her eye that suggests I probably shouldn't annoy her too much, as she still knows the exact location of those aforementioned sharp things.

Other than that, there isn't too much more to report at this stage but we'll keep you posted!

Cheers,

Adam

With regard to Adam's previous comment, I note that family members may view these comments so I shall leave my particular brand of humor for another day. Again congrats to you both can not wait to come and see you guys, you are still sorely missed. Mrs Partridge must be an exceedingly strong women now that she has 2 children to look after. You are looking very well Mrs P, hope to see you soon.
Love the Shales.

Congrats to both of you! We are truly happy for you. I'm a bit jealous that Vicki did not get to experience the joys of morning sickness though!

Can't wait to get together with both our half-Brit little ones!

Love,
Steph & James-
